Herbaceous Hybrid Peony

Herbaceous Hybrids are especially noted for their wide range of colours including the newer coral shades, extended flowering period and good foliage.

Pruning and Care: Peonies are generally easy to grow given a fertile, adequately drained soil in an open sunny location although some will tolerate light shade. Given these basic requirements, peonies may well have a life span of up to fifty years. They are extremely hardy and suitable for growing in most areas preferring a neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Plant size is classified by the number of ‘eyes’ (buds). The smaller size (2-3 eyes) may take several years before flowering.
